400m Women

Vicky Piggin (former Australian Open Long Jump Champion) lead into the straight. 

Vicky has 12.0 speed and is a strong athlete. She has no gone under 55s twice this season. Coached by Andrew Jackson who also has Rachel Massey ( Athens 4 x 100m Rep.) in his squad.
 

Rosemary passed Vicky in the middle of the straight and went on to win in her fastest time this season in the low 54s.

TV Crew were present filming this race for a series. Rosemary is in the current McDonalds Ad.

Susie Walsham lead from start to finish . Susie was a NSW Junior Star in the late 80s who in 1990 at age 17 ran  4:11
(Aus Junior record holder & NSW Open Record holder)

She ran 51+72+70+69 to record 4:22 in her most impressive run since the early days.

Lauren Elms chased and held on well for a PB of 4:26 even though visitors Melanie Collins and Leanne Laajoki passed her in the final 50m.

Many women run under 4:36. A very impressive newcomer in Junior Lisa Corrigan made the trip from Canowindra and was rewarded with another PB of 4:36 . Lisa who also ran 2:11 for 800 recently is another NSW Junior likely to have a shot National representation at some stage. (She is shown placed 4th in the first picture)
