Description:
I have been involved in Athletics since 1963 in high school
and college track and cross country and road racing (2:29.25
marathon PR) and for the past 17 years as a coach of girls track
and cross country. I have coached at my current high school
for ten years and won 3 consecutive State Championships (89
to 91) and coached one girl who won the National Junior Olympics
and National Junior Championships in the Heptathlon. As
the head coach I am heavily involved in every event which now
includes the pole vault. The girls I coach are from 12
to 18 years old. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist. I look forward to hearing from other
coaches from around the world.
Description:
I have been involved with Track and Field since I competed in
High School.
I became interested in the coaching aspect back in 1980 and
then very involved
in 1990. I currently coach youth at all levels both AAU/USATF
with the Linganore
Lightning Running Club in Maryland. I also coach High
school athletes at two local
High Schools Mostly in the THROWS Events(My specialty).
I have had numerous State
Junior Champions and a few state High Schoo champions in th
THROWS events. I am
currently trying to form a year round THROWS Club in the Frederick
County, MD area.
I am also in the process of trying to get certified by both
AAU and USATF in the THROWS
as an official.
