Training in Sydney

  • The Warmup Track at Sydney International Athletic Centre in the Olympic Park is open 7 days a week . It is flood lit and well equipped. It is rarely too busy for comfortable training and is particularly quiet Monday-Friday during the day. It is also close  to the Aquatic Centre and the State Sports Centre.On weekends there are low key competitions almost all year.

Getting away from it all

In Sydney this will be easy. There are many options;

The Blue Mountains which are small townships surrounded by National Park altitude 200m-1350m . The Mountains start 50km to the west on the M4 which is an easy 30min Drive from the Sydney Olympic Park. The popular tourist town of Katoomba is 70minutes drive.

Sydney has great beaches which are only ever busy on weekends in Summer.

The complex at NSW Academy of Sport at Narrabeen has a Synthetic surface and is situated 5minutes from the beach.

Sydney can have heavy road traffic during peak times but is very quick to travel across after 7:00pm each night.
